Our Story
Tri-City Life Center, a faith-based organization, was birthed in January,1997 with the express intention of helping young pregnant women.
Since that time, our center has flourished to include a variety of programs designed to serve families in the communities throughout the Alle-Kiski Valley, including parts of Westmoreland, Allegheny, Armstrong and Butler counties. All programs are designed to give women and families the tools to make informed and healthy decisions.
Our History
1997—Founded by Melody Aversa; rented a 4-room suite on 5th Avenue in New Kensington.
2000—Lois Weidner becomes Executive Director. Moved to Craigdell Road location in Lower Burrell.
2003—Received Redevelopment Grant; relocated to the Leechburg Road location in Lower Burrell.
2008—Lori Kregiel becomes Executive Director, Lois Weidner becomes Development Director. Office expansion leads to renting a second location on Leechburg Road 1/4 mile away.
2010—Secured 7,200 square foot facility for expansion at 1155 Wildlife Lodge Road in Lower Burrell. Opened for business to our clients in November. Celebrated our Grand Opening in January 2011.
